There are tender moments as well where they choose not to engage in the rape fantasy and I think that’s a sign that something is different between them. There is something special. Michael Flynn is a very unique character. He isn’t the least bit tortured about what he likes. In fact, I think he embraces it and that for me is what make him stand out.

Despite his fetish for rough sex, he is careful with who he sleeps with and also makes it clear at the beginning of what he likes. At any point, Laurel could have walked away if she wanted to. Laurel, on the other hand, has her own messed up demons. As she tries to confront them, they fight and I think it weaves a more realistic story for them. There are two things that I have to point out about this story.

I felt that the situation with Pam could have been handled better. She was just thrown out of the picture and we didn’t really see a good resolution concerning that. Also, I felt that the ending seemed a little abrupt. I wonder if it was due to the fact that I was enjoying the story so much that I didn’t want it to end or if it really ended too quickly.
